Industrial Band & Cartridge Heaters
Band and Cartridge heaters are the work horse of the process heat industry. Band heaters are used to clamp arount a pipe or tube in order to add heat to a process. On the other hand cartridge heaters can be embedded into flat stock or odd shapes to control the temperature of devices.
Tempco offers four different series to choose from.
Mi-Plus - Tempco miplus is a great solution for all applications that require high watt densities and/or high operating temperatures because it can handle temperatures up to 1400F and watt densities up to 150W/in.
- Unique screw terminal design resistant to over torquing
- One piece built in construction strap
- Stainless steel transition cap with strain relief
DuraBand - Tempco durbands are an economical alternative offering temperafture capabilities up to 900F
Ceramic Band - Tempco ceramic bands are specifically designed to meet energy conservation by reducing heat losses. Reduces power consumption by 25 to 30 percent. Some common application of the tempco ceramic bands include plastic injection molding machines, extruders, and blow molding-equipment.
Tubular Band - Tempco tubular bands are designed to perform under advers conditions. The tepco tubular band is highly recommended where premature heater failure is present. Tempurature capabilities up to 1000F.
