Panasonic Laser Sensors

Compared to sensors that use LED light, laser sensors offer many decisive advantages due to spot size and color immunity.  Due to the very nature of a laser it offers a point of light on the surface of objects being detected.  This also provides higher accuracy and effecting higher through put for the machines they are mounted on.  This all translates into a sensor that is more precise and reliable. 

Panasonic offers an M18 housed laser sensor series.  They have incorporated three distinct models to address your application:

  • Thru-beam laser sensor up to 60m
  • Retro-reflective type up to 16m
  • Diffuse reflective type up to 350mm

Both metal and plastic housings are available.

Panasonic also offers a digital laser sensor in a compact 50x50x15mm housing. They have incorporated three distinct models to address your application:

  • Thru-beam laser sensor up to 60m
  • Retro-reflective type up to 20m
  • Diffuse reflective type up to 600mm
  • Background suppression type up to 100mm

These lasers are available in both standard and high-performance depending on the resolution you are seeking.

M18-L- These sensors have a compact design with the ability to be quickly installed and aligned.

Features:

  • Comes in a multitude of laser types (Retro reflective type up to 16m, diffuse reflective type up to 350mm, and thru-beam laser sensor up to 60m)

  • Axial or radical versions

  • NP or PNP

LC-100- High powered laser sensor that has the most advanced optic functions. Available in 4 versions laser through-beam, laser polarized retroreflective, diffuse reflective, background suppression.

Features:

  • NPN or PNP
  • 16 types of LC100
  • Safety class 1 laser emission
  • Vary capabilities between the different versions

LC-120- Has the most advanced performance for industrial automation. They can be applied in foil detection and the pharmaceutical industry.

Features:

  • LED or laser emission high resolution sensors
  • Response time less than 200µs
  • Switching frequency up to 2.5kHz
